Overview

Quick PDF Scanner turns your mobile device into a quick portable scanner with PDF conversion capabilities, allowing you to:

Quick PDF Scanner includes a custom Camera view allowing quick and convenient scanning of single images or multi-page documents. The Camera view provides a set of preferences that allow to fine tune the quality of the taken pictures.

The scanned pages are inserted into documents and can be manipulated later. It's also possible to add pictures from external sources, e.g. from the Gallery, Facebook or Google+ albums, etc. The existing Quick PDF Scanner documents are shown in the Document List view. This view provides functions to search, share, export and delete the documents.

Navigating through Quick PDF Scanner's menus is done by a slide-in motion from the left side of the screen inwards or, alternatively, a tap on the Hamburger icon at the top left side of the screen. The options there include:

All Scans - Shows you the complete list of scans and documents.
Recents - Shows you the most recently opened or scanned documents or photos.
Favorites - Here you can find all documents and scans you've added as Favorites. Adding scans to the Favorites menu is done by a tap on the Star icon at the bottom right side of each file. Tapping the icon again will remove the file from the Favorites list.
Backup - Allows you to backup all your scans on a Cloud account.
Restore - If you've done a Backup of your files on a cloud account at a previous time you can easily Restore all your scans by tapping on this icon.
Invite Friends - Share the app with friends through any of the available sharing options on your device.
Settings - Here you can access a number of options to customize and fine-tune how the app works, options include:
Help - Opens this help documentation.
About - Provides helpful information such as the app version, What's new, Terms of use, Privacy policy and more.

You can also Search for specific documents by tapping on the icon. Additionally, the Contextual menu at the top right side of the screen holds even more options for managing documents, these include:

New from Gallery - Allows you to import documents from your Internal storage, Cloud account, FTP or Local Network.
Select - Allows you to select multiple documents at once. Tapping on the icon will display a Select all option at the top right corner of the screen.
Show as grid - Switch between Grid or List view for your files list.
Sort by - Choose whether the documents list is sorted by Name, Date or Pages.
Camera Options

To start scanning, tap on the Camera icon at the bottom of the screen. Doing this will send you to the Camera menu. The Camera button allows you to take photos, on its right side is the Single-shot/Batch mode, allowing to switch between either taking multiple photos at once, or single ones. On the left side is the Settings menu, containing:

Toggle Grid - Toggle whether to show a Grid while taking photos
Camera Flash - Gives you options to use flash while taking photos.
Picture size - Set the photo's width and height.
Auto-shot mode - Toggles the auto-shot mode on/off, allowing the app to automatically take photos.
Scan mode - Toggles the Scan mode on/off.

After scanning a document a number of options are available to adjust the quality before the photo is finalized, these include:

Original - The scan will be saved as it is, without any adjustments.
Brighten - Adjust the photo's brightness by using the slide menu.
Magic - Choosing this option will optimize the image readability.
Grayscale - This option will transform any color into varying shades of gray.
B&W - This option will make the photo black and white only, thus removing all other colors.
Crop - Crop the edges of the photo.
Rotate left 90 degrees - Rotate the photo 90 degrees to the left.
Rotate right 90 degrees - Rotate the photo 90 degrees to the right.
Save - After you've adjusted the photo tap this option to finalize the scan. Doing this will place the scan within your list of scans.
Document Options

After you've successfully scanned a document a number of options are available once you access it from either the All Scans or Recents menu, these include:

Add page(s) from the Camera - Allows you to add further pages to the selected one by scanning them with your Camera.
Save as PDF - Save the scan as a PDF file. Depending on your settings you may be prompted to name the file or select its storage location.
Save as DOC - Save the scan as a DOC file. Depending on your settings you may be prompted to name the file or select its storage location.
Print - Print the document.
Save as image - Save the scan as a JPG file.
Recognize - Recognize the written text with the OCR function. To do this you first have to set the default language for the feature from the drop-down menu. Once this is done, the feature will start recognizing the text and show you a few options for the text. The OCR Correction will suggest words for use in cases where the text has been wrongly recognized, the Share option will allow you to share the recognized text using the various sharing options available on your device, Copy to clipboard will copy the entire text, Save as TXT will save the recognized text as a .TXT file, Delete Fake Text will allow you to remove parts of the document which have been wrongfully recognized, and lastly the Recognize again option allows you to recognize the scan again.
Share PDF - Share the PDF file using any of the available sharing options on your device.
Crop - Crop the scan.
Import Page(s) - Import additional pages from your Internal Storage, Cloud accounts, FTPs or Local Networks.

Some of the options detailed above, as well as a few others are available if you tap on the Contextual menu at the upper right side of each file, these include:

Share PDF - Share the PDF file using any of the available sharing options on your device.
Save as PDF - Save the scan as a PDF file. Depending on your settings you may be prompted to name the file or select its storage location.
Save as DOC - Save the scan as a DOC file. Depending on your settings you may be prompted to name the file or select its storage location.
Rename - Change the document's name.
